SOME PEOPLE WADE INTO LOVE.
OTHERS UNEXPECTEDLY FALL IN THE DEEP END.
SAMANTHA:
My life seems to be running me, and not the other way around. That’s why I’ve taken a leave from work and come to this small island to try and “find myself” for the first time since . . . well, ever.
Unfortunately, ever since I got here, my life has become a series of humiliating events that all seem centered around my flirtatious new neighbor, Deacon King.
I need to stop running into him before I embarrass myself even more, and he needs to stop flashing me his bright smile, ocean-blue eyes, and perfectly sculpted abs. And he also needs to start remembering that he’s married with a kid, or he is going to find out just how much trouble I can be.
DEACON:
I feel like my new neighbor could be a lot of trouble. Sam Turner is one of the most unexpected hurricanes to ever blow onto this island. She can’t catch a break whenever she’s around me and ends up in the most uncomfortable situations . . . for her. Personally, I find it adorable.
I can tell she’s trying to avoid me, but there's a tug in the middle of my chest that’s pulling me to find ways to spend time with her—even though it's the last thing I should do.
She seems a little bit of crazy and a whole lot of complicated, but my heart doesn’t seem to care.
And for some reason, she thinks I’m married.
Breathing Under Water is a sweet, clean, closed-door romance full of heart, banter, laughs, chemistry, sizzling kisses, but with no explicit content.

Breathing Under Water
Some people wade into love. Others fall in the deep end.
SAMANTHA:
Deacon King is turning into the bane of my existence.
I have a very carefully crafted and controlled life back home, but ever since I came to this island to relax for the first time since… well, ever… my life is slowly unraveling with a series of humiliating events, and as I watch that control slipping though my fingers like sand, Deacon’s twinkling blue eyes and sly smile seems to have a front row seat.
I’m trying to avoid him like the plague, but not only is he the instructor at the snorkel & SCUBA school I signed up for, unfortunately he is also my neighbor.
I need to stop running into him, and he needs to stop flashing me his flirtatious smile, ocean blue eyes, and perfectly sculpted abs, and start remembering that he’s married with a kid, or he is going to find out just how much trouble I can cause him.
DEACON:
Why do I feel like this woman is going to cause me a lot of trouble?

I can tell she’s trying to avoid me, but I can’t help but feel this tug in the middle of my chest that keeps reeling me towards her-even though I know that’s the last thing I should do. She seems a little bit rude, and a whole lot crazy, but for some reason I think my heart’s in trouble.

Diving into the Sun
For some people diving into water is terrifying.
But what happens when you're diving into the sun?

Swimming on the Beach
CHERYL:
Taylor Swift said it best when she said "We are never ever, ever, ever getting back together".
Unfortunately for Marco, he's not a Swiftie and doesn't seem to understand that.
But now, my mother has unfortunately overcome her fear of flying and surprised me by showing up on the island!
That wouldn't be a problem except I never told her that Marco and I broke up, and she is expecting him to propose any day. That might be because that's the story I fed her to keep her from bugging me about moving back home!
Now I have to convince Marco to pretend we are still together. At least until my mom leaves.
MARCO:
Pretend that we're still together? HECK YES!!
I'm all in on this one. I finally have the chance to convince Cheryl we never should have broken up in the first place.
I'm about to give Cheryl's mom the best show of her life and act like a man who's completely smitten with her daughter, because for me-that's no act.
This time I'm pulling out all the stops to win her back and make her mine... again.
